Front office department

 Front Office department:
            This department includes the following divisions:
  1. Reservation
  2. Reception
  3. Front office cashier
  4. Information
  5. Telephone operators
  6. Uniformed services 

Activities of front office :
  1. At the pre-arrival stage, the hotel must create for every guest a reservation record.  
  2. Accessing the number and types of rooms available, various rooms' rates.
  3. At the arrival stage members of the front-office staff welcome the guests, help them register, Assign a room type and a room rate for each guest, and give them their room keys. 
  4. Providing assistance to guests during their stay, completing their accommodation, food and beverage accounts and receiving payment from guests. 
  5. Supervising post, faxes, and the email of guests.
  6. Supervising safety deposit boxes of guests.
  7. Receiving and following complaints of guests
  8. Coordinating guest services.
  9.  Answering questions about the activities in the hotel and surrounding area. 
  10.  Receiving an accurate settlement of the guest account. 
  11. At departure (check-out) they should encourage guests to  return to the hotel on any future date.  
  12. Establishing guest history records at check-out [personal & financial information].  
  13. Receiving and processing reservation requests for future.  
  14. Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
